Premarital Class

Are you soon to be engaged or at least considering it? Are you engaged already with a wedding date on the calendar? If so, we would love to help you prepare for marriage through biblical and practical instruction. All couples wishing to be married at Coram Deo Bible Church and/or by one of our Pastors must first complete our Premarital Class. This class consists of seven sessions which will help you discover God’s purpose for marriage and biblical commitment. Prepare now to build your marriage on a lasting foundation.

What is the process for getting married at Coram Deo?

Deciding to get married is a life-changing decision. We offer a Premarital Class to help you lay the foundation for a God-centered marriage. Our Pastors and Directors are also available to officiate your wedding. If you would like to have your wedding at Coram Deo, please follow the checklist below:

What is the process for having a funeral at Coram Deo?

Loss of a loved one is very difficult, and our Pastors are available to support you as you grieve. If you would like to speak with a Pastor, or you would like to hold your loved one’s funeral here, please contact Krista Roels at or (563) 359-5333.

What is the process for receiving help from the Compassion Ministry at Coram Deo?

If you have come on hard times and need a little extra help—whether financial, emotional, or otherwise—please seek out help from our Compassion Ministry. To share your situation, come to the office and fill out a Compassion application. We will get you connected with someone on our Compassion Team to assess your need and how we can help.


What Applicants Can Expect:
  1. We will show love and compassion
  2. We will get to know you
  3. We will speak into your life with God’s truth
  4. We will develop a plan to help you do what it takes to get you back on your feet
  5. We will personally meet with you (either in-person or by phone)

Below is a basic timeline for help (to be used as a guideline only):

  • Week 1: We'll assign your request to a team member
  • Week 2: You'll meet or speak with your assigned team member
  • Week 3: You'll have a second meeting with your team member to discuss your action plan


What Applicants Should NOT Expect:
  • Money – some will receive financial help, but no monetary gain is guaranteed
  • Immediate Answers – the process can take up to three weeks
