HOW TO MAKE YOUR 2-YEAR PLEDGE

STEP 1: Submit Your 2-Year Pledge Commitment

What is a 2-year pledge commitment?

A 2-year pledge is a commitment to pay a certain amount towards the capital campaign over the course of the next two years (approximately starting from April 2020). Initial gifts do not count towards pledge commitments.

How much should I pledge?

If everyone pledges an amount equal to half their annual tithe, given over the next two years, we will meet our goal.

PLEDGE EXAMPLE

Below is an example of how to figure out half your annual tithe, but please prayerfully consider if you are able to give over and above that amount.

EXAMPLE:
$4,000
(annual tithe) ÷ 2 (half) = $2,000 to be pledged and paid over the course of two years

VIDEO TESTIMONIES

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: Can we wait and do this later?

A: First, our kids and students deserve the best, and good facilities offer the best chance to reach and disciple the next generation.

Second, our facilities are not being leveraged to their greatest capacity for ministry. By finishing our south end build-out, we can maximize our space to accommodate our growing children's and student ministries.

Third, the south end of our building is in need of major maintenance. It would not be wise or good stewardship to continue to simply repair and delay the inevitable.

Fourth, now is not the time to pull back when so many people in our community are backing away from the church. We need to finish. If not us, then who?

Q: Can we do it cheaper than $4M?

A: No. This is the best number to help us finish our build-out in a way that is both inviting and functional for the work of ministry, while also practicing good financial stewardship without sacrificing quality.

Q: When I submit my pledge, am I submitting the total 2-year amount, or a per-payment amount?

A: When you submit your 2-year pledge—either through the online pledge form or through a Giving Commitment Card—the amount you submit should be the total amount that you plan to give over the next two years.

Q: How do I figure a pledge amount “equal to half my annual tithe, given over the next two years”?

A: Below is an example of figuring out what half your annual tithe might be (using $4,000 as the annual tithe), but please prayerfully consider if you are able to give over and above half your annual tithe.

EXAMPLE$4,000 (annual tithe) ÷ 2 (half)$2,000 to be pledged and paid over the course of two years

Q: Will the chairs in the Multi-Purpose Room be moveable?

A: Yes. The chairs will be moveable in order to allow for multiple configurations and maximum flexibility within the space, including setting up tables for banquets or meetings.

Q: Will there be security around the play structure?

A: The play structure that we are looking at has a single point of entry and exit, with strong mesh netting surrounding the structure for safety and easy visibility. Outside of ministry time, parents are expected to keep an eye on their children while they are inside the play area.
