Ashley Matsuo

Kindergarten Teacher

Ashley was fortunate to grow up going to church regularly with her great-grandparents. They discipled her from a young age, and she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in late elementary school. After accepting Jesus into her life, she was baptized. Ashley was blessed with many community members who continued to pour into her and help her develop her relationship with Christ throughout high school.

Ashley received her Bachelors in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from Northwest Missouri State University. Throughout her college years, Ashley held onto her faith but lacked a strong Christian community. It was during this time that she met her husband, Bryce. When Bryce’s job brought them to the Quad Cities, they started attending Coram Deo Bible Church where she was once again being discipled and continued to grow in her relationship with Christ.

Ashley and Bryce have two children; Brayton and Nora. Before having children, Ashley worked in the public school system as a Kindergarten Teacher for three years. While she loved being home with her kids in the younger years, she is excited to be back teaching. Better yet, she is thrilled to be able to use her God-given abilities to teach young children academics through a biblical perspective.

Ashley counts it a joy to also serve in Children’s and Women’s Ministries. She also enjoys reading, baking, and going on walks.

Ashley currently serves as the Kindergarten Teacher at Coram Deo Academy.
