Jared Rasmussen
Junior High Director
Jared grew up in a Bible-believing family in Northwest Illinois where he spent his early years in the local church. At 9 years old, Jared made the decision to give his life to Christ after his parents walked him through the entirety of the Gospel.
The years that followed were marked by a period of wandering for Jared. In March 2018, while in high school, Jared began a relationship with his now wife, Erica. They later separated before going to college. It wasn’t until February 2020, while away at school, that Erica repented and gave her life to Christ. Around the same time, Jared began attending Coram Deo and getting involved in the College Ministry. The Lord used this to turn Jared’s eyes back to Christ.
In September 2020, Erica and Jared reconnected and began a God-honoring, Christ-exalting relationship. Both developed a new desire for the local church and overseas missions, which in turn fueled Jared’s growing passion for church ministry. In July 2022, Erica and Jared were married and moved to Iowa City. Since then, the Lord has deepened Jared’s passion for Christ, the church, and God’s people. In the summer of 2023, Jared and Erica felt called to move back to Davenport to be part of Coram Deo and serve in its ministries. Subsequently, the Lord opened a new door for Jared to enter a pastoral residency position, which began in August 2024. In 2025, Jared took on the position of Junior High Director. Jared and Erica are excited for the opportunity to grow at Coram Deo and to see what God might have for them in the future.
