Richard Johnson

Richard was born and spent most of his life in the Quad Cities. He grew up in a home that did not attend church. It wasn’t until his freshman year of college, when he felt compelled to purchase and read the Bible, that he gave his life to Christ at the age of 20.
Richard earned a bachelor’s degree in religious studies from Iowa State University, where he also served in a local college ministry called The Salt Company. During his time as a student leader at The Salt Company, he felt increasingly drawn to pursue full-time ministry. This led him to switch his major from mechanical engineering to religious studies and later intern for Coram Deo through the College Ministry. It was during this stage of his life that he also met his wife, Ella, at a Coram Deo College gathering. Richard and Ella were married in May 2024.
Richard loves helping others see the beauty and majesty of Christ, even in the hardest situations. He deeply cares for the people God places around him and desires to help them grow in their faith and understanding of God in any way he can.
