Bump, Set, SPIKE! Gather your teams and come join us for a CO-ED Sand Volleyball Tournament Friday, June 14 starting at 5:30pm! The tournament will be held at Junge Park, 3250 Western Ave, Davenport, IA 52803. There will be prizes for the winning teams and a food truck on site! All tournament players must be 16 or older.
Those not playing in the tournament are still welcome to come, hang out, and play pick-up volleyball once courts open up. Families are welcome! There is a playground available on site for kids.
Tournament Information
Teams:
- Minimum of 6 players, maximum of 9 players per team.
- Teams are co-ed, must be evenly split (example: a team of 6 would need to be split 3 males and 3 females, or 4 females and 2 males).
- Minimum age of 16 for all players.
- Teams must have 6 players on the court at a time. Players rotate after each possession change, and the rotation of the players on the court must have a co-ed representation.
Tournament Rules:
- Single elimination bracket, with a losers bracket. There is a maximum of 12 teams in the tournament. There are prizes for the winning teams of both the winners and losers bracket.
- All tournament sets and matches will use rally scoring.
- All games, except the championship round, will be a set played to 11 points. In the case of a 11 to 11 tie, play is continued until one team has a 2-point advantage or cap at 15.
- Championship round will be a Match that is played to 11 points. The team that wins the best 2 of 3 wins the match. In the case the match comes to a 1 to 1 tie, the 3rd set is played to 15 points, with a minimum 2-point lead or cap at 20.
- For Championship round, after the first set is played, teams will swap sides.
Registration Details:
- Registration opens May 3, 2024.
- Registration closes May 31, 2024 or when we reach our 12 team capacity.
- All players will be sent a waiver to fill out.
- Registration cost is $60 per team (not per player).
