Pickleball Tournament
Saturday, July 12
Be sure not to commit a fault by missing our Pickleball Tournament! Gather your teams and come join us on Saturday, July 12! The tournament will be held at Forest Grove Park, 5754 Forest Grove Dr, Bettendorf, IA 52722. There will be prizes for the winning teams.
Those not playing in the tournament are still welcome to come, hang out, and play pick-up pickleball once courts open up. Families are welcome! There is a playground available on site for kids that is near but not next to the courts.
Teams:
- All teams must have 2 players.
- Minimum age of 16 for all players. Players must be 16 by July 12.
Tournament Divisions:
- There will be a beginners division and an experienced division. Both divisions will follow the same rules.
- There is a maximum of 10 teams per division, 20 teams total for the tournament.
Round Robin Tournament:
This event will be round-robin tournament with each division of 10 teams in two different pools. This involves each team playing every other team in their pool once. The top team from each pool advances to the championship game, while the second-place teams play for third. Please review the tournament chart for a visual representation of this.
1. Pool Play
- Division into Pools: The 10 teams are divided into 2 pools of 5 teams each (Pool A and Pool B).
- Round-Robin within Pools: Each team within a pool plays every other team in their pool one time (1 Game to 11 points, win by 2 points, non-rally scoring).
- Scoring: Points are awarded for each game played within the round-robin. (Scorecards will be kept in case of a point differential tie-breaker)
- Advancement: The top two teams from each pool advance to the next round of competition.
- Tiebreakers: In case of a tie, point differential will be used.
2. Championship Play
- The 1st place teams from Beginner Pool 1 & 2 and the 1st place teams from Experienced Pool 3 & 4, play each other for 1st & 2nd place.
- The 2nd place teams from Beginner Pool 1 & 2 and the 2nd place teams from Experienced Pool 3 & 4, play each other for 3rd & 4th place.
Registration Details:
- Registration opens on June 9, 2025.
- Registration will close on July 7, 2025, or when we reach our team capacity.
- All players will be sent a waiver to fill out.
- Registration is $20 per team (not per player)
