Modern Battles, Timeless Truths: Helping You Raise Teens with Issues We Never Faced
Led by Robbie & Anna Isley
Today’s world is very different than when we were teenagers. The digital age has ushered in all new types of challenges for today's teenagers. The times have changed, but the biblical principles for parenting are timeless. In this workshop, we will work through social media, online dangers, and some surprising upsides to raising a teenager today.
Parenting…Continued
Led by Garth & Deanna Glenn
Life is about transitioning from one season to the next. Parenting is no different. From babies to teenagers to adult children and grandkids, life provides continued opportunities to be a parent. Whether it’s figuring out how to parent adult children or getting to start over with grandkids, this workshop will provide practical insight into how to navigate the next season of parenting.
Putting Technology in Its Proper Place: Reclaiming Real Life in a World of Devices
Led by Luke & Erin Jewell
Making good choices about technology in our families is more than just using internet filters and determining screen-time limits for our children. It’s about building character, wisdom, and courage rather than accepting technology’s promises of ease and gratification. It’s about developing our heart, mind, soul, and strength when we’re tempted to settle for entertainment and consumer satisfaction. And it’s definitely not just about the kids.
Seeking First: Prioritizing Family Time to Reflect Kingdom Priorities
Led by Mark & Sylvia Zuiderveen
If you have found yourself wondering how to develop your child’s unique gifts and interests while maintaining God-honoring priorities, this workshop is for you! Join us as we share practical wisdom on how to raise our children in light of the many social, academic, athletic, and spiritual opportunities competing for their time and attention.
When Anxiety Strikes: Fight, Flight, or Faith?
Led by Jason Taylor & Eric Aho
Headache, nausea, muscle tension, fatigue, excessive worry, declining grades, restless nights, sensitivity to criticism, and panic attacks are some of the experiences of an adolescent struggling with anxiety. This workshop will build parental awareness to the overwhelming experience of anxiety in children. Further, it will explore the rich insight shared in the Bible and give parents Gospel-centered strategies to help their children.
